The old bridge is not uptodate.Then a new adjacent bridge to the main bridge, Mahanama Palama ( Constructed by the father of Mangala Samaraweera, Mahanama samaraweera) is under constructing these days to get wide the main bridge with all and new adjacent one together. Then, 8 vehicles will be able to go at one time on the bridge with the inauguration.
